Update on Butterfly Bush hybrid. They are both over one foot tall so I guess I just had to be patient. They are supposed to grow 3 feet the first year, so only 2 more feet to go. As for the Zanzibaris – never again. Dismal failure. Hollyhock? They’re looking like they’re doing something and one of them has a bud on it. Hurray! And they are perennials.
Marigold update. Wow, the African variety is just beautiful. They’re big and fat and look like mums. I’m going to try collecting seeds from these flowers.
Love Lies Bleeding is doing really well. Can’t wait for full bloom. Neither can my neighbours.
